Event Details

Special Note: This form is for U.Va. employees wishing to use the HR Education Benefit only.

If eligible, the U.Va. Education Benefit will reimburse you for the entire cost of registering for this event (with the exception of the cost of food).  The money does not come from departmental funds.  This is money that comes from a pool at central human resources.

For each eligible employee, the University will pay up to $2000 per calendar year.

It is your responsibility to review the U.Va. HR Education Benefit policy and application procedure to make sure you are eligible. Forms and applications can be found on the Human Resources website. Questions should be directed to benefits@virginia.edu.

Rates and What's Included

First, what's NOT included.  Due to restrictions in how the HR Education Benefit can be used your ticket will not include food.  If you wish to purchase a separate ticket for food during the conference, you may do so for $50.  This food ticket gets you a lunch during the keynote presentation and snacks throughout the conference.

The Omni will not allow outside food in their facility during meals including the keynote.

A more comprehensive e-mail message will be sent closer to the conference start date. It will include information about onsite check-in, agenda updates, and more.

Transfers, Cancellations, and Refunds

Your conference registration may be transferred to another person within your organization at any time by notifying us in writing. If you must cancel, please notify us by phone, email, or mail by Sept. 30, 2010. You will receive a refund for the package you chose, less a 5.5% cancellation fee. Cancellations made after the deadline, as well as "no-shows," are liable for the full registration fee.

In the event that the conference is cancelled, registration fees only will be refunded. Cancellations of travel reservations and hotel reservations made directly with the hotel are the responsibility of the attendee.

Speaker Cancellations

If a speaker listed on our program should be unable to attend the conference, all efforts will be made to replace him or her with one of comparable experience and qualifications. In the cases of headline presenters, this might be difficult however, and we make no guarantees that we will find a replacement of similar stature or at all. If one of these presenters cancels, we will be sure to inform you if you are registered for their half-day workshop. At that time we will work with you to arrange appropriate alternatives.
